Food Fiend Experience is not purely a cookery school, it is also a place where you can choose to have a truly memorable dining experience. More than that, I can recreate the experience in your own home too!
The idea behind Food Fiend Experience is to provide corporates, groups and individuals with a unique experience to enjoy and share in the kitchen, where food will be the central theme. Under my guidance and supervision I will teach you different ways to use ingredients, spices and herbs and pass on tips I have gained through years of experimenting and creating international cuisine.
Food Fiend Experience was launched at the end of September 2012 and was a finalist in the coveted 2013 Hampshire Life, Food and Drinks Awards, as Best Newcomer, this endorsement has confirmed to me that I am definitely on the ‘right track ‘ with the ‘experiences’ I provide. Many thanks to all my clients who have helped me to reach this position and I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
Additionally, Food Fiend Experience has a regular recipe column with Postcode Publications and is now being sponsored by Kenwood with kitchen appliances.
Food Fiend Experience has been awarded a 5 Star rating for Food Hygiene by the Food Standards Agency and Kathy Fitchett has achieved a level 2 award in Food Safety in catering.
Hello, my name is Kathy Fitchett, founder of Food Fiend Experience. I am a self-taught cook, giving many people who have crossed my path in the different continents around the world, pleasure through my food, for over 30 years.
My professional background in Event Management, Marketing and Sales has been a tremendous help in enabling me to bring you Food Fiend Experience.
I was born in Singapore but came to the UK when I was only three, my cultural background has hugely influenced my love for food and the range of cooking styles I teach. The Chinese have the reputation for constantly thinking about food, so at breakfast we want to know what we will be eating at lunchtime and at lunchtime will want to know what we will be eating for dinner.
I live to eat, not eat to live.
Creating dishes from scratch, making cooking simple and tasty is what I enjoy and want to share. Cooking well is about having the confidence to experiment and being adventurous. I get a huge amount of pleasure and satisfaction helping clients tap into their inner abilities. I love to share my passion for food, my cooking techniques and the experience I have gained from cooking and experimenting. I hope you will join me on one of my experiences and be inspired to cook more.
