From her beautiful home in North Hayling, Kathy Fitchett has successfully diversified her cookery experience business to include networking events. Kathy’s professional background in Event Management and Marketing has enabled her to identify the need to provide a more relaxed networking environment which is friendly and welcoming but also productive and worthwhile.
Many who are not fond of networking or who have yet to fully embrace it, will find the networking events quite unlike any they will have attended.
Perhaps the fact that it is located in a domestic setting makes it more comfortable and relaxed, but don’t be fooled by this non-commercial setting, as the venue is quite unique in the atmosphere it provides and Kathy’s warmth and professionalism ensures your experience and enjoyment of the event is guaranteed.
These networking events are for both ladies and gents and Kathy emphasises the desire to retain this more social atmosphere to enable attendees to get to know each other on a different level and make networking more enjoyable.
Kathy has run the Food Fiend Networking events very successfully since July 2013. In July 2015 she held her first Food Fiend Networking Supper and in January 2016 she will be launching Food Fiend Coffee Connections.
The lovely space is complemented by the warm welcome you will receive from Kathy which will make you feel ‘right at home’.
Many have commented on how they feel more comfortable and at ease and there is no ‘hard’ sell or heavy business discussions in evidence. However, what does pervade is an air of relaxed, happy chatter with light-hearted and social interaction which invariably leads to connections being made and business cards being exchanged.
– this takes place during the day. It starts at 11 am with a presentation from an industry expert and the networking lunch follows. A 2 course vegetarian meal is served and attendees have the opportunity to make a one minute presentation. There is ample time to network. The event draws to a close at 2 pm. Cost per head is £20 and booking is required.
-this evening event provides a more informal networking opportunity. Starting at 6.30 pm. Those who have not previously attended are taken on a tour. A fun and relaxed ‘ice breaker activity’ takes place before the ‘food talk’. This can be a taster of Tai Chi or ‘Zumba’ or another activity. A 2 course vegetarian meal is served and there is ample time to network. The evening draws to a close at 9.30 pm. Cost per head is £20 and booking is required.
-this is a morning event. Taking place on the 3rd or 4th Wednesday of a month. This event starts at 9.30 am and ends at 11 am. This networking group is open to both ladies and gents who run their own small business. There is no annual fee or need to book in advance. Cost per head is £8 and includes unlimited tea, coffee and chocolate biscuits.
The meeting will start with a mix and mingle session and then attendees will be seated in small groups where they will have the opportunity to talk to the other attendees and build a better connection. This session will be guided with questions to facilitate the flow.
Kathy will also be offering attendees the chance to take advantage of her ‘business surgery’ where they can have a 1 to 1 to ask any specific business questions relating specifically to marketing and sales which they need help with. If Kathy cannot help you she will refer you to someone who can.
